Abuse takes many forms and wears many faces, e.g. mental, emotional, physical, chemical, elderly, social, and sexual. As quickly as it can be kind and caring, it can be cruel and deadly — always with a promise "It will never happen again," "You're responsible," "You'll never do (get or be) better," you made them do it or you wanted it.

A lot of abuse goes unreported. Many injuries and deaths could have been prevented or avoided. Abusers can be charismatic, hypnotic, controlling, and seductive. However, one thing all abusers have in common is they do not improve without professional intervention. Until then, abusers are a ticking time-bomb and the abused are sitting on top of that bomb.

Silence: A Deadly Killer

If you, a loved one, or someone you know is the victim of abuse or you suspect of being an abuser, your silence can place another’s life in jeapordy.
